High-Mountain Black GABA is a premium dark oolong from Taiwan. The leaf is grown in the Alishan mountains at 1200 metres, and the harvest and production of this grade are supervised by the state-run Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station.
GABA is a particular way of processing the leaf, with fermentation carried out in an oxygen-free environment. That is what gives this oolong its recognisable fruit-and-caramel character and dark liquor.
Packaging is a kraft-paper doypack with a clear window and a zip-lock seal. Available in 7 g, 25 g, 50 g, 100 g and 200 g — small portions to try it, large ones for everyday drinking.
