About this product

A rare dark Feng Huang Dan Cong oolong from Guangdong: orchid, linden and narcissus in the aroma, honey, apricot and mango in the cup. Sold in 7 g to 200 g kraft doypacks.

Feng Huang Dan Cong is a dark oolong from Guangdong province, a favourite among people of southern China. Production volumes are limited, so the tea is hard to find even in China itself.

Taste and aroma

The bouquet is floral and fruity at once: orchid, linden, narcissus, green pea, fresh green wood, honey, apricot and mango. The liquor is clear, the taste soft and many-sided.

How to brew

  • 5–6 g of leaf per 100–150 ml of water.
  • Water at 95–100 °C.
  • First infusion 10–15 seconds, add 5 seconds each time after.
  • Holds 6–8 infusions.

Packaging

Kraft paper doypack with a clear window and zip-lock seal. Sizes 7 g, 25 g, 50 g, 100 g, 200 g.
