Rou Gui from Ma Tou Yan cliff (Horse Head Rock) grows in the scenic heart of the Wuyi mountain range, at an elevation of 425 m above sea level. The cliff is named for its shape, with neighboring formations Lei Shi Yan and Wu Ma Ben Cao nearby, and Sanhua Feng peak to the north.
