GABA Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea

GABA Da Hong Pao is a deeply roasted dark oolong from the Wuyi mountains, made using the GABA fermentation method at the small Teng Chong Gaba Tea Co., Ltd factory (2025 harvest). Its appearance is neatly twisted, elongated strands of a brownish hue.

The aroma unfolds from the dry leaf to the last sip: notes of smoke, a hot summer field, a wood-fired bathhouse, roasted coffee beans, baked goods, tobacco and dark chocolate. The taste carries light smokiness, bitter chocolate, sweet nutty halva, along with bready-woody, spicy, cognac and berry undertones.
