Rou Gui from the Bi Shi Yan area is grown on one of the peaks of the Zhen Yan mountain massif, once home to a Buddhist monastery that was converted into a tea factory during the reign of Emperor Aisin Gioro Zaitian. The region's rocky slopes and stable climate favor high-quality leaf growth.
The factory uses traditional Rou Gui processing methods, preserving the cultivar's characteristic taste and aroma: notes of geranium, chrysanthemum, roasted nuts, almond, caramel, jam, menthol, cherry and plum.
