Dan Cong Oolong Orange Blossom (Mi Lan Xiang), Guangdong

Dan Cong Orange Blossom is a dark oolong from Guangdong province, China. It is one of the brightest teas in the collection: aromatic, thick, strong and slightly astringent.

Taste and aroma

The cup unfolds a whole palette of notes: honey, ripe apricot, light smoke, nuts and orange zest. The bouquet is rounded out by peony, fresh bread, sesame, cream, caramel, fresh lemon, cherry, plum, apple and peach. The taste is layered, the aftertaste long and warm.

How to brew

• Use 5–6 g of leaf per 100–150 ml of water.
• Pour water at 95–100 °C.
• First infusion 10–15 seconds, add 5 seconds for each next one.
• The leaf holds up to 6–8 infusions.
