Eight Immortals Dan Cong Oolong Tea

Eight Immortals is a dark Dan Cong oolong from China, meant to be brewed slowly and attentively. This is a tea for quiet moments: take it to the mountains, brew it in the morning, step outside and drink unhurriedly while taking in the view.

Taste and aroma

The bouquet unfolds layer by layer: wild flowers, dry wood, fallen leaves, sea kelp. Then comes the sweet part — caramel, date, raisin, longan. The finish carries clove, fresh lemon, blackcurrant and blueberry.

How to drink

• Brew gongfu style — the leaf holds up to many infusions.
• It opens best in a gaiwan or a small teapot.
