Da Hong Pao Superluxe is a dark oolong from Fujian province, one of China's most famous rock teas. It's said that it's a shame the legendary tea sage Lu Yu never lived to see this variety discovered — this tea would undoubtedly have earned his attention.
The flavor and aroma unfold notes of celery, fresh hay, sea air, bread, caramel, jam, pepper, cinnamon and apple — a multifaceted, rich cup with a long finish.
Brew with water at 95–100°C; a few short infusions will let the aroma open up gradually.
