Dark Dan Cong Oolong Tea, Guangdong

Dark Dan Cong is a dark oolong from Guangdong province, with a deep taste and a complex, layered bouquet.

Taste and aroma

The flavour recalls Shou pu-erh and black tea. The aroma carries unusual overtones: prune, apple, resin, cinnamon, wood and smoke, alongside narcissus, pine, moss and seaweed, finishing sweet and tannic with caramel, sponge cake and jam.

Brewing

Use water at 95–100 °C with short 10–20 second steeps. It holds many infusions, and each one sounds a little different.
