Emerald GABA Oolong Tea, Jin Xuan

Emerald GABA is a light oolong of the Jin Xuan cultivar, known as "milk oolong," from Alishan mountain. The leaves undergo an oxygen-free fermentation process that lets the tea accumulate gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) — hence the name.

The flavor is rich and velvety, weaving together notes of cream, caramel, biscuit, ripe cherry, plum, and pear, with a light lilac note in the aroma. Gentle roasting and selective leaf picking give this tea a unique bouquet not found in ordinary oolongs.

Brew with hot water in a pre-warmed vessel — the leaves easily withstand several infusions, revealing new shades of flavor with every steep.
