Lao Bai Cha Shou Mei from Taimu Mountain, 2019, 100 g

Lao Bai Cha Shou Mei ("Aged White Tea Longevity Eyebrow") comes from the legendary tea region of Taimu Mountain in Fuding county, Fujian province.

The material for this refined tea was picked in spring 2019, and the cake itself was pressed with a traditional stone press in March 2022.

Years of gentle ageing have given the tea a mature, deep character.

The cake's texture is striking: large, richly textured leaves in deep olive, brown and golden-brown shades intertwine with silvery downy buds.

The liquor is a clean, amber-gold colour with a smooth, mildly sweet taste free of any astringency.

Its rich bouquet reveals notes of ripe autumn fruit, dried dates, warm linden honey and sun-warmed forest herbs, leaving a long nectar-like finish.
