Shu puer "Red Dates" 2009-2019 is an aged compressed tea cake. The leaves were picked on sun-drenched slopes at 1000 meters, giving the tea its bright, "sunny" character.
The liquor is thick, dark reddish-brown. The flavor is mature and rich: the classic puer earthiness here is noble, interwoven with fruity notes. The aftertaste reveals summer berries — raspberry and strawberry — against a caramel sweetness.
The tea carries a light, pleasant bitterness and tartness that make the flavor full-bodied. Suits both a slow tea ceremony and a busy day.
