Dian Hong Zhen «Needles» — Yunnan Red Tea

Dian Hong Zhen translates as «Yunnan red tea in the shape of needles». This tea is made entirely by hand, and tea masters call this type «tea of the highest craft».

Origin and picking

Dian Hong is listed among the TOP 10 most famous teas of China — a list drawn up by the Ministry of Agriculture of the PRC. Only the finest raw material is selected for it: a bud and one leaf. The tea is picked in spring only, and only in Fengqing county, Yunnan province. It is fermented to 70% and then sorted by size.
