Menghai Dayi V93 Shu Pu-erh, 2018

Shu Pu-erh V93 is a legendary recipe from the Menghai Tea Factory (Tae Tea brand, "Menghai Dayi"). The recipe was created in 1993 by master Yu Zhendai, who later, in 2006, founded his own pu-erh brand, Dachangshao.

Internal changes at the factory halted production of the recipe until 1996. In 2004 Yu Zhendai took charge of the Menghai factory and revived V93. In 2005 the tea won gold at the 13th Shanghai International Tea Expo and became the benchmark shu pu-erh from Menghai Dayi.

The letter "V" in the name stands for "Victory" — a symbol of the recipe's comeback.

The taste combines notes of dry wood, fruit peel, cellar, hay, dusty road, tobacco, and buttercream.
