Cha Gao is a tea resin produced by slowly reducing the sap pressed from Yunnan shu pu-erh leaves. The tube holds 32–36 single-serving granules in gold foil — one granule per cup.
The resin dissolves completely in hot water, so the drink is ready in about a minute, with no teapot, strainer or rinsing. The brew is dark and dense, velvety, with notes of wood, nut and dried fruit.
The airtight tube shrugs off moisture and fits a pocket, backpack or glovebox — a practical format for travel, the office and hiking.
