Shu Pu-erh 'Menghai Dayi' 0562, 2018

Shu Pu-erh "Menghai Dayi" 0562 is a numbered compressed tea made from grade 6 material with a high proportion of tips. It comes from the first harvest of a recipe developed in 2005; batch 0562 was produced in April 2018 at the Menghai factory in Yunnan province, China.

The taste and aroma carry notes of dry wood, aged leaves, hazelnut, caramel, biscuit, raisin, cherry and longan.

Form and packaging

The tea is pressed into a cake and available in several weight formats, from small samples to the traditional full cake. Each portion is packed in a kraft-paper doypack with a clear window and a zip-lock closure that keeps the aroma sealed until brewing.

How to brew

Break off the amount of tea you need from the cake, rinse it briefly with boiling water, and steep it in a gaiwan or pu-erh teapot for several short infusions.
