Sheng Puer "8653" is a classic recipe from the Xia Guan tea factory in Yunnan province, China. This young sheng puer is pressed into a cake (bing) shape and made for long-term aging — over the years the taste becomes softer and deeper.
The taste carries notes of wildflowers, green peas, fresh hay and a hint of fruit, with subtle smoky and dried-apricot nuances in the aroma. Brew it the traditional way in a gaiwan or teapot, using several quick rinses to open up the bouquet.
