Shu Pu-erh Gongting "Moon Cookie" is pressed from the top Gongting grade (fine buds) and traditionally shaped like the festive cakes of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Each piece is a small portion, ready for a single brew.
The aroma is rich and warm, with notes of tree bark and damp forest, and a light bitterness that fades quickly once brewed.
Velvety and full-bodied, with no sharp bitterness — just a gentle sweetness in the finish reminiscent of rye bread crust. The liquor is dark and opaque, the colour of deep dark chocolate.
