Tie Guan Yin Mao Cha

Mao Cha is top-grade semi-processed leaf material for Tie Guan Yin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) oolong, harvested in Fujian province. This is a tea for true connoisseurs: the tightly rolled leaf balls slowly unfurl during brewing, releasing a layered aroma.

The liquor weaves together floral notes of lilac, geranium and jasmine, complemented by light celery freshness, sesame and honey sweetness. Ripe melon and papaya tones round out the bouquet.

How to brew

• Water temperature: 90-95°C
• Steeping time: 20-30 seconds for the first infusion, then 10-15 seconds each after
• Best suited to a gaiwan or small teapot, holds up to 6-8 infusions

The tea is sealed in a vacuum pack that preserves the aroma until first opening.
