Anhua Hei Cha Shi Liang 2015, 362.5 g

Shi Liang is the pocket-sized version of Qian Liang ("Thousand Liang"), the huge log of pressed hei cha weighing over 30 kg. The packing method is simple: a hundred liang of loose tea were packed into a special Huajian basket-sack and pulled tight. The tea is sometimes named after that very basket.

On the long haul to Tibet, the log compressed to the density of wood. This format is the same tradition scaled down: 362.5 g of aged dark tea from Hunan province, 2015 harvest.

About this piece

The cake is sold whole and uncut. We have not yet described the taste and aroma of this particular batch — this tea is waiting for its first taster. Given the premium grade of the raw material and the years of ageing, expect a dense, deep infusion in the Anhua dark tea style.
