Hei Cha Zhuan 2011 Aged Dark Tea, 15 g Portions

Hei Cha Zhuan "Slice of the Great Log" from 2011 is an aged Chinese dark tea cut into convenient 15-gram pieces. It is the easiest way to try genuinely aged Hei Cha: a whole log weighs 30 kg and even the mini version is 3 kg — the lot of true devotees. Here you get one piece per brew.

How to brew

The simplest way: drop a piece into a thermos of boiling water and leave it for over an hour — you get a litre or two of nutty infusion. You can also simmer it or brew it in short infusions. For infusions, soak the tea first: cover it with water and wait until it loosens.
