"Golden Needle White Lotus" is one of the most expensive and famous recipes from the Menghai Factory (Tae Tea brand, "Menghai Dayi") — a true quintessence of tea craftsmanship.
Until 2005 this tea was produced only as loose leaf. In 2005 it was first presented at the World Tea Expo in Shanghai.
The name reflects the tea's character: "golden needles" are the highest-grade buds, and "white lotus" refers to its refined, noble aroma.
The taste carries notes of wildflowers, dry wood, dried fruit, bread, roasted nuts, buttercream, raisins, and longan.
