Da Shu (Big Trees) are tea trees aged 80 to 150 years. Their deep root systems draw more minerals from the soil, and the leaves contain fewer polyphenols, giving the tea a softer, less astringent taste. They also hold more essential oils, making the tea more aromatic and flavorful.
This 2018 Shou Mei Da Shu is made from such rare leaves in Fujian province, China.
