Sheng Puer in Bamboo Tube

The bamboo stem is heated over fire and tightly packed with sheng puer — the tea matures and absorbs the bamboo aroma right inside its natural wrapping. The hot bamboo actively enriches the tea's flavor and aroma.

The longer this puer is kept inside its bamboo shell, the better it tastes — new flavor facets reveal themselves over time.

Before brewing, a piece of bamboo is split or cut open to reveal the compressed tea, which is then brewed in a gaiwan or a dedicated puer teapot.
