Autumn Darjeeling from Liza Hill Estate

This autumn flush Darjeeling from the Liza Hill garden grows on steep mountain slopes and feeds on rich mountain soil. The slope gives the bushes perfect drainage, while the changeable weather — sunshine, cloud and heavy rain — shapes the mountain character of the cup.

The taste is many-sided: a light bitterness, clear sweetness and fruity notes. The aroma carries linden, fruit wood, toasted bread, hazelnut, honey, chocolate, biscuit, nutmeg, dried apricot, grapefruit, grape and apple.

Darjeeling accounts for only about 1% of all tea grown in India, so every cup is worth it.
