Darjeeling Oolong Gopaldhara Maharani

Maharani of Darjeeling ("Maharani", meaning "Queen") is a diamond of the Royal Series from the Gopaldhara estate. This unique First Flush oolong grows at an extreme altitude of 1700 to 2100 meters.

After winter dormancy, AV2 cultivar bushes give the finest shoots, picked exclusively by hand. The leaf consists of whole buds and young leaflets that undergo light oxidation and careful rolling.

The dry leaf looks greenish with a large amount of silvery tips. The light-yellow, almost amber liquor impresses with its clarity and consistency of taste. The flavor is dominated by fruity sweetness, notes of spring flowers and the freshness of Darjeeling mountain air. This tea has a full, even character with a long, soft aftertaste.
