Wild Pu-erh Tree Flower Buds, Gaoshan Yesheng Shancha

Wild pu-erh tree flower buds (Gaoshan Yesheng Shancha) are a rare raw material gathered in the high-mountain forests of Yunnan. These are not an ordinary herb or herbal tea, but unopened flower buds of the same wild Camellia sinensis tree used to make pu-erh.

The brew comes out a clear golden colour with a bright aroma: it opens with fresh pine notes and wild forest, then unfolds into sweet meadow honey and warm home baking.

The taste is soft, enveloping and slightly sweet, with no bitterness or astringency at all. The buds contain no caffeine, so the tea can be enjoyed at any time of day.
