Yue Guang Bai Cha Moonlight White Tea

Yue Guang Bai Cha ('Moonlight White') is an unusual white tea from Yunnan province, China, made from the leaves of large-leaf tea trees normally used for pu-erh. Yunnan mainly grows the 'Da Ye' tree variety, and all local tea is made from this raw material.

What makes this tea special is that it is half buds and half large leaf, so its flavor recalls both Bai Mu Dan and Bai Hao Yin Zhen. The taste and aroma carry notes of wildflowers, celery, cut grass, cream, honey and zest.
