Bai Mudan White Tea, Whole Pressed Cake, 2019 Harvest, 350 g

Bai Mudan, or "White Peony," is a classic white tea from the legendary Fuding county. The leaves for this batch were hand-picked in spring 2019 following traditional standards: buds and the first young leaves only. After several years of natural ageing, the tea was pressed into a 300-gram cake in November 2022.

Visually, the cake shows a lively texture: among olive, khaki and golden-green leaves you can see a generous share of downy white buds. Thanks to the long ageing, the tea has lost its initial green sharpness, and the flavour turned remarkably smooth, silky and deep.
