Pu-erh made to the Gong Ting ('palace grade') recipe is considered the height of luxury among Chinese pu-erh teas. This shu pu-erh is made from the tea bush's newly formed miniature buds, which is why gathering and processing it takes an enormous amount of hand labour.
The liquor has the colour of fine cognac and a layered aroma with notes of dry wood, dried grass, cellar, dusty road, hazelnut, caramel, date and blueberry. The taste is soft and enveloping.
