About this product

Shu Puer 'Tribute of Respect' is a 357g pressed tea cake made from large, fleshy leaves of old trees near Mandhuang village, Yunnan. Flavors of dried apple, pear and bitter chocolate, with an aroma of oak bark and spice.

The name "Tribute of Respect" hints at this tea's aristocratic origin. The leaf is picked from old trees near Mandhuang village — the heart of the puer world. Break open the cake and you'll find large, fleshy leaves that soaked up the full strength of the Yunnan soil.

The aroma is simply fantastic. This isn't the kind of puer that smells of a "cellar" — instead you'll catch spicy, sweetish oak bark, as if you'd stepped into an old distillery. The taste is clear and cozy: dried apples and pears intertwine with a noble finishing note and a hint of bitter chocolate. This is a tea with character — reliable, strong, and just a touch stormy.
