Liu An Gua Pian is a rare premium Chinese green tea from Anhui province. It is picked in a limited area in limited quantity, so genuine Gua Pian is hard to find even in China.
The cup opens with floral orchid and violet notes, followed by fresh hay and cut grass, pine nuts, caramel, sponge cake, jam and ripe pear.
Use water at 80–85 °C and keep the first steep short. The leaf holds several infusions in a row, revealing new shades of flavour with each one.
