Kenyan Volcanic Green Tea

Kenyan tea is traditionally associated with black CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl), but in recent years Kenyan farmers have also begun growing green tea.

This green tea comes from the Kiru garden in Murang'a County, near Mount Kenya, where the plantations sit above 2000 m on volcanic soil.

The taste carries notes of violet, green pea, sunflower seed, pine, sorrel, roasted nuts, honey and fresh lemon. The farmers grow this tea without pesticides.
