Premium Matcha Green Tea Powder, 200g

Matcha is a prized type of Japanese green tea made from shaded tea bushes, picked and ground into a fine powder called tencha.

Unlike most teas, matcha is not steeped — it is whisked directly with water in the cup using a bamboo whisk (chasen).

There are two ways to prepare it: thin (usucha) and thick (koicha). Usucha uses about 2g of powder per 50–80ml of hot water; koicha uses about 4g.

Hot water is poured over the powder, then whisked until a smooth foam forms.
