It is a piece of bamboo that was soaked, bent and dried. No complications — it works like a ladle. Just measure out the matcha and drink. Beauty in simplicity!

• Care: wipe the chashaku with a dry cloth once the ritual is over

P.S. Do not wash it! Or at midnight the chashaku will turn back into a plain stick.
