Unique finishing technology

• Inner wall — pure silver. Made of 999 fine silver, which makes the tea taste softer and cleaner.
• Outer enamel — medium firing. A coating made of silver powder at 99.9% purity is applied over the ceramic base. Under high kiln temperature, the powder fuses, bonding perfectly with the ceramic. This is handwork that ensures the purity of the coating.
• Aged effect. The thin coating and artificial aging give the surface a deep matte tone, against which the pattern stands out especially clearly.

The Taotie pattern and ancient symbols

Taotie is one of the oldest ornaments in Chinese art, found on bronze pieces from the Shang and Zhou dynasties over 3,000 years ago. On the cup you can make out the characteristic stylized eyes, horns and scales, rendered in dark, saturated burgundy and grayish-yellow tones.
