Shu Kou Bei Aconite Tea Bowl, 70 ml

The Shu Kou Bei bowl (束口杯) is a classic Song dynasty shape. Its defining feature is a subtle groove along the inner rim that draws the mouth of the bowl in, like the neck of a precious pouch.

The magic of the glaze

The "Aconite" design impresses with its layered depth. Crystalline patterns on the walls resemble the blossoms of this noble, mysterious flower, frozen under a layer of clear ice.

Concentrated aroma

The drawn-in rim acts as a natural aroma trap. It keeps the tea's essential oils from evaporating too quickly, gathering them into a rich bouquet right at your lips.

Perfect for long-steeped teas

Thanks to the narrowed top, tea in this bowl cools more slowly, letting you savor the dense body of shou pu-erh or the many-layered notes of rock oolongs.

Tactile presence

The same groove under the rim acts as a natural finger rest. The bowl sits very securely in the hand, giving a sense of stability and calm.
