Mountain Stream Longquan Celadon Tea Cup, 160 ml

The «Mountain Stream» cup is made from clay of Zhejiang province, following the Longquan celadon tradition. In July 2008 the State Council of the PRC granted this ceramic the status of an intangible cultural heritage of the state, second degree.

Ceramics like this are sold only wholesale at the pottery market by a family of Longquan masters. The pieces are decorated by carving and inlay, or by applying other colors. Finished pieces are polished especially carefully by hand.

This cup stands out for its harmonious glaze shine and pleasant tactile surface — a truly unique piece of teaware.
