The rim has horns: scalloped bumps around the edge, as on traditional Siberian drums. They add overtones and a lively buzz to the sound. On the back the cord is laced into a branching tree that serves as the grip.
Play it with your hands or a beater, from a soft rolling rhythm to powerful strikes. The drum suits meditation, spiritual practice, sound sessions and musical improvisation. Handmade by a craftsman, every piece is one of a kind.
