Palm juice is collected and slowly boiled down until it turns into a sugar-like mass.
Jaggery is rich in vitamins (thiamine, niacin, riboflavin) and minerals (phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium, chromium, copper, zinc, selenium).
It makes a great substitute for regular sugar.
Each portion weighs about 110 grams.
